Chinese actor-singer Chen Kun staged his first ever solo concert at Beijing's Chaoyang Stadium on Thursday, an event that coincides with his 34th birthday.

The heartthrob played a set list comprised of tracks from his past four albums and title tunes from TV series and movies in which he starred, according to a report on Sohu.com.

Guest singer Chen Chusheng sang "Happy Birthday" to Chen Kun, while fellow actress Zhou Xun also came onstage and presented him with a birthday cake.

In the audience were many of Chen's filmmaker friends, including Han Sanping, Tsui Hark, Zhao Baogang and Li Shaohong.

"I hope they will let me sing the title songs of their productions – that's why I invited so many directors today," Chen said.

His most recent movie credits include "Mulan (花木兰)," "Founding of a Republic (建国大业)" and "Painted Skin (画皮)." One of his best-known roles for international audiences was in "Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress (巴尔扎克与小裁缝)."
