
Xiamen International Stone Fair in 2009
The 10th Xiamen International Stone Fair was open this morning at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Centre.
The director of the Xiamen International Stone Fair’s organizing committee and Xiamen Municipal Trade Development Bureau Xiong Yanliang said that the Xiamen International Stone Fair has become the largest stone fair in Asia and the 2nd largest one in the world.
When asking about how the Xiamen International Stone Fair became the 2nd largest one in the world in only 10 years’ development, Xiong Yanliang told the reporter that the main reason was they insist the in exhibition idea of “Market-oriented, professional and international”.
Xiong Yanliang also said that it was the 10th anniversary for the Xiamen International Stone Fair. The organizing committee has tried their best to make the stone fair this year more special than the previous versions.
First, the scale this year is the largest compared to previous versions. The total exhibit areas is 95,000 square meters, and the number of exhibit booths is 5200.
Second, the quality of the exhibitors is better than the previous versions. There are over 1200 exhibitors that will be participating in this year’s stone fair, in which, over 300 exhibitors come from over 30 countries.
Third, the number of the exhibitors and visitors are much bigger than the previous versions. There are over 1200 exhibitors and about 100 thousand expected visitors in this year’s stone fair.
Last, it is more professional than the previous versions. There will be a global stone meet held during the Xiamen International Stone Fair this year, and it is expected to further enhance the influence of the Xiamen International Stone Fair throughout the world.
