6th Xiamen International Kite Festival

Jointly hosted by the Xiamen Municipal Government, Siming District Committee, Simng District Government, and Xiamen Daily, the 6th “Dazhou Cup” Xiamen International Kite Festival will be held 5th to 7th November 2010 at Xiamen Guanyin Shan Beach. 
According to the organizing committee, about 200 people from over 30 teams from home and abroad will attend the kite festival this year. 
First held in 2003, and as one of the supported activities of Xiamen Ocean Week, the Xiamen Kite Festival has become one of the most important festivals in Xiamen, and one of the most famous kite contests in China.
