The Amoy Cup 2012 was co-hosted by the Xiamen International Football Club and WOX(whatsonxiamen.com). The first Amoy Cup in 2012 saw 10 teams competing in this amateur 7-a-side tournament.
Football enthusiasts have good reason to be happy, as the 7-a-side football tournament Amoy Cup is soon to kick off again on the scenic Gulangyu Island, bringing 12 teams together, 2 more than during the Amoy Cup 2012, to battle their way to victory, on 11th June this year.
Each team will be comprised of 8-12 players, including 1 goal keeper, 6 field players and substitute players. Games will be 2x12 minute halves, with group stages, ranking games (position 9 to 12), quarterfinals, semi-finals, ranking games (position 3 to 4), and the final.
Advanced registration and a RMB 2,000 registration fee will be required for the qualified teams before 11th May.
The event is co-hosted by Xiamen International Football Club, a Xiamen-based football club, and WOX (www.whatsonxiamen.com). It will be held from 9:00am to 5:00pm during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, which will run from 10th to 12th of June this year, and is sure to complete your journey in Xiamen with a breathtaking game.
At last year’s event, the Xiamen International Football Club claimed the Amoy Cup 2012 title after a tough win over Xiamen BOBO FC.
