On January 15th, a whopping 35-meter long signature First Love Cake, which features layers of rose scented cream, almond dacquoise, fresh strawberries, and watermelon, was created at Shimao Emall Shopping Centre in Xiamen Shimao Straits Tower A.

The cake, which is normally priced at 38 yuan but was on sale for only 15 yuan on that day, was sold out within 80 minutes.

Mr. Michael Schmitt, General Manager of the Conrad Xiamen, made a speech at the opening ceremony, which began at 2 p.m.

The event raised more than RMB 5,000. Part of the profits from the event went to Starlight Studio of Xiamen YMCA, which helps young people with autism; some of the profits were also used to buy necessities for 15 needy families in the Shapowei Community.
The signature "First Love Cake" is available in French Kiss, a Parisian patissserie and eat-in/take-out fine food and coffee shop on the hotel's first floor.
