Eindhoven test event readies IPC Swimming World Championships

A recent test event in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, has secured final preparations for the 2010 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championships.
 
Taking place on 3 June, the test event covered operations for the World Championships in areas including timing, results management and broadcasting. Those visiting Eindhoven were IPC Swimming Sport Manager Agnes Szilak, Technical Delegate Sue Prasad, the Local Organizing Committee, Host Broadcaster Unicem and a team of national officials. Paralympic athletes from the Netherlands were an additional part of the event, simulating competition for observers.
 
As part of the test event, participants also visited the open water venue and discussed related tasks. The 2010 IPC Swimming World Championships will take place from 15-21 August 2010 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
