Introduction to major exhibitions held in Xiamen

Xiamen is regarded as one of the most livable cities in China on account of its enchanting scenery, moderate year-round climate and relaxed lifestyle. As one of China’s first four Special Economic Zones opened to foreign investment and trade in the early 1980s, Xiamen has experienced rapid economic growth by giving full play to its regional advantages in the welcoming of large amounts of investment from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as foreign countries and overseas Chinese.

2013 Xiamen International Stone Fair
13th China (Xiamen) International Stone Fair set new records in both exhibition area and the number of exhibitors
 
China Xiamen International Stone Fair, which takes place annually at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center (XICEC) from 6th-9th March, is the world’s largest trade show for the stone industry. Approaching its 13th anniversary, Xiamen Stone Fair has grown to be a prestigious international trade fair with ever-rising influence and popularity.

Xiamen Stone Fair has been a microcosm of the developmental trends for the whole stone industry in the challenging economic surroundings. The 2013 event welcomed nearly 2,000 exhibitors from 54 countries and regions, and more than 130, 000 visitors, including 25,679 overseas merchants.

CIFIT: China International Fair for Investment and Trade

The China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, takes place on September 8-11 every year in Xiamen, China.

Themed "Introducing FDI" and "Going Global", CIFIT features a simultaneous focus upon the national and the international, upon investment negotiation and investment policy promotion, upon the coordinated development of the national and regional economy, and upon the economic and trade exchanges across the Taiwan Strait.

CIFIT has the following major aspects: investment and trade exhibition, international investment forum and seminars on hot investment issues, and investment project matchmaking symposia. CIFIT not only comprehensively showcases the investment environments, investment policies, investment projects and corporate products of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government in mainland China, but also attracts investment promotion agencies from dozens of countries and regions to conduct investment briefings. CIFIT offers the best possible opportunity for business people from home and abroad to get a bird's-eye-view on the investment climates in China and other countries, and additionally a one-stop shopping service for multilateral investment cooperation, thereby helping them select from the widest range of investment projects and business partners.

CIFIT is currently China's only international investment promotion event aimed at facilitating bilateral investment. It's also the largest global investment event approved by UFI.

China Xiamen International Buddhist Items & Crafts Fair
 
The China Xiamen International Buddhist Items & Crafts Fair is held once a year, from October 10-13 at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center, China.

Over many years of development, the China Xiamen International Buddhist Items & Crafts Fair has become the largest event of its kind in the world, showcasing the highest calibre of Buddhist items and giving a platform to the biggest players in the crafts industry.

China Xiamen Machinery and Electronic Exhibition
 
China Xiamen Machinery and Electronics Exhibition (CXMEE), authorized by China's Ministry of Commerce, is jointly organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronics Products, the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association, and the Xiamen Municipal People's Government. This event annually takes place in April in Xiamen.

CXMEE is the largest machinery and electronics exhibition jointly organized by both sides across the Straits. The events will include the China (Xiamen) Energy-saving Lighting Exhibition, the China (Xiamen) LED Interior Lighting Industrial Technology Development Forum, the Cross-Straits Energy-saving Lighting Procurement Matchmaking and Information Release Conference, and the Cross-Straits Seminar on New Energy-saving Lighting Products and Technologies.

The CXMEE Optoelectronics Events have become the largest and most influential annual events in the optoelectronic industry in the West Taiwan Straits Economic Zone. The organizing Committee is looking forward to welcoming business elites from across the Taiwan Straits to the events.

West-Taiwan-Strait Auto Expo

The West-Taiwan-Strait Auto Expo takes place annually at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center (XICEC) in June or July. With six years’ development and benefiting from the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA), the West-Taiwan-Strait Auto Expo in Xiamen has become famous and respected around the world.

The Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone, or West Coast Economic Zone, is the economic development zone for the economic region to the west of the Taiwan Straits proposed by the Fujian government and the Chinese central government. The area includes the coastal cities of Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou and Fuzhou in Fujian province. The proposed economic zone aims to integrate the economies, transportation, infrastructure and policies from the coastal cities west of the Taiwan Straits in order to increase competitiveness and social development, in addition to closer economic cooperation with Taiwan.

China (Xiamen) International Boat Show

China (Xiamen) International Boat Show has been successfully held for five years. The 2013 China (Xiamen) International Boat Show will be held at Xiamen Marina, Wuyuwan Bay from November 8-11, 2013.

Organized by the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI), the 2013 China (Xiamen) International Boat Show will gather a series of related events, and the charm and splendor of the tradeshow is guaranteed to deliver an unforgettable visual feast.
