Key parks and zones in Xiamen: Xiamen Torch Hi-tech Zone

Xiamen Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone is one of the first few national hi-tech zones approved by the Central Government and “includes several parks in one Zone”. It accommodates 2,000-plus enterprises, including 20-plus Fortune 500 enterprises such as ABB, DELL, Panasonic, Toshiba and Hitachi and other famous enterprises such as AUO, TPK, AOC and Lenovo Mobile. 
 
Torch (Xiang’an) Industrial Zone is the biggest comprehensive optoelectronic park of the Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. It has attracted several famous optoelectronic enterprises of Taiwan, including AUO, AOC, Epistar, TPK and TECO, and has an annual production capacity of 20,000,000 LCD TVs and LCD monitors. 
 
Xiamen Returned Overseas Students Pioneer Park is a state-level returned overseas students pioneer park and one of the key state-level incubators supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Personnel. It has well-established R&D, production, comprehensive services and living facilities and over 400,000 square meters incubation premises (including the hatched business center). It has 500-plus hi-tech enterprises that are being incubated currently and 3 enterprises that have been successfully listed on the overseas main-board market or domestic second-board market. 
 
Xiamen Taiwan Sci-tech Enterprises Incubation Center is specifically oriented towards Taiwanese sci-tech entrepreneurs. Its Phase I project has a total construction area of 54,000 square meters which was launched into operation in August 2007. Its Phase II project (Torch East Incubation Park) has a construction area of 120,000 square meters, including 80,000 square meters of modern sci-tech workshops, 20,000 square meters of R&D buildings and 20,000 square meters of service facilities.
