Xiamen's 2014 GDP growth set at 10 percent

Xiong Yanliang, head of Xiamen Civil Development and Reform Commission, gave a report on the city’s development in 2013 at the third Session of the 14th Xiamen Civil People’s Congress on Jan 21, and set the 2014 GDP growth target at around 10 percent, Xiamen Daily reported.

Xiong said that the local government revenue reached 80 billion yuan ($13.2 billlion) in 2013, urban per capital disposable income hit 40,000 yuan, and per capita net income of rural households increased 11.5 percent.

Xiong said the local government will strive to promote industrial upgrading, innovation, reform and opening up, culture, environmental protection, and improving public services,
