 The Wuyuan Bay in Xiamen

Wuyuan Bay Yachts & Sailboat Bonded Warehouse, the first of this kind in China, will soon be put into operation, Xiamen Daily reported on Sunday.

As an important ancillary service of the Wuyuan Bay International Yacht Exhibition & Sales Centre, the 1st phase of the bonded warehouse covers a total area of 3,000 square meters, including the 500-square-meter indoor warehouse.

The bonded products include imported and exported vessels and spare parts. It is not only conducive to the introduction of well-known yachts and sailboats manufacturers and spare parts supplies, but also can give priority to the people of Xiamen and its surrounding areas to buy international yacht brands within China.

Industry insiders believe the bonded warehouse will help to build Wuyuan Bay into a distribution center for imported yachts and sailboats in China in the future. It not only marks that the Xiamen's yachting industry has made remarkable progress in internationalization, but also will greatly enhance the competitiveness of the industry at home and abroad.

The project, which was approved by Xiamen Customs in August 2009 and completed construction in mid-October, will be officially put into use soon.
