Shuotai Business Technology Co., Ltd, a joint venture of call center cooperated by cross-Straits enterprises, is to be established in Xiamen. It will be the largest national-level call center in Haixi Economic Zone (the west side of the Taiwan Straits). With its base in Xiamen, Shuotai's business will cover both sides of the Taiwan Straits and is to be expanded nationwide.
Currently, Shuotai Business Technology involves a total investment of about 30 million yuan, of which Xiamen Info-Invest Co., Ltd occupies 51% of the share and Chunghwa Investment Co., Ltd (Chunghwa Telecom's subsidiary) occupies 49%. It is expected to serve Taiwan-funded enterprises, mainland enterprises and government departments. According to customer attribute and demands, Shuotai will provide services in call center, employment services and applied system.
Zhuang Wenming, Chunghwa Telecom's General Manager of Customer Service Department, says that the business has a bright prospect. Making full use of its advantages in location, folk customs and language, Chunghwa Telecom will strive to make Shuotai the largest national call center on the west side of the Taiwan Straits in 10 years. "All walks of life will get whatever information they want from call center", says Zhuang.
Shuotai, to be located at Xiamen Software Park Phase Άς, is currently in the stage of preparation and external contact. It's expected to be put into use this May or June.
