Amoi Electronics Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600057) recently said in a statement that it submitted the Shanghai Stock Exchange with an application for resuming listing.

If the company gains response from the bourse, it will unveil related news in time, according to the statement.

Earlier, the reviving Xiamen-based mobile phone maker announced its financial results for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2009. Amoi obtained a net profit of CNY 675 million last year. The data indicates that the company meets the requirements for resuming listing.

Amoi suspended sharing trading from April 29, 2009 because of regrouping. On that day, Amoi shares closed at CNY 3.98 apiece.

The financial report for 2009 showed that Amoi has 55,308 shareholders in total. Except from the 48.78% held by the company, most of the remaining shares are taken by natural persons. Wu Mingxiao owns more than 4.5 million shares, or a 1.05% stake, in Amoi, becoming the second-largest shareholder of the company.
