On 5th Mar 2010, Xiamen Airlines started the Xiamen-Wuyishan air express route, the first of its kind in China that was specially launched for a national-level tourist resort.

From 5th Mar, there are 6 round-trip flights between Xiamen and Wuyishan. The departure times from Xiamen are 8:30, 13:00, 15:30, 18:30, 21:30 and 22:30. In June, there will be 8 flights every day and one round-trip flight every two hours. By 2011, there will be 1 flight per hour.

Xiamen Airlines plans to set up green express for travellers to transfer flights. Besides, Xiamen Airlines offers preferential air tickets for travellers flying between Xiamen and Wuyishan. For travellers purchasing over 10 Xiamen-Wuyishan round-trip tickets at a time, Xiamen Airlines offers a preferential round-trip price starting from 400 yuan.

Nanping Travel Agency also promotes its tourism products by offering preferential prices of tourist attractions, like entrance tickets, bamboo rafting, hotel accommodation, a golf course and performance of "Impression Dahongpao".

According to confirmed information, travellers that buy Xiamen-Wuyishan air express tickets from 5th-31st Mar will get a free entrance ticket to Wuyishan. The entrance ticket is originally sold at 150 yuan for each person, covering tourist attractions of Tianyou Mountain, Dahongpao and Water Curtain Curve.

"Though the air express involves a huge investment and needs a long market development period, it will still bring much convenience for travellers and boost economic development of Fujian", says Mr. Che Shanglun, General Manager of Xiamen Airlines.
