Solar power management system was introduced into Mucuo BRT Station
Xiamen is aiming to develop a low-carbon city by launching a series of energy-saving and emission-reducing projects. It is reported that Xiamen's BRT system also started use solar energy to support the low-carbon project.

The introduction of solar energy makes BRT Mucuo Sub-station the first solar BRT station in China. The solar energy system can supply 60kwh of electricity each day, which basically supports the operation of the station.

The construction of a solar power system costs much less than a normal electric supply system and can help the government save hundred of thousands of yuan.
In addition, BRT Mucuo Sub-Station also replaced its lighting with LEDs whose consumption is only 20% of ordinary light.

According to Xiamen Bus Rapid Transition Company, the adoption of a solar power management system and LED lights can save 26,000kwh of electricity and reduce carbon emission by 26.4 tons each year.
