First Cross-Strait Cooperation call centre settles in Xiamen

On 2nd July 2010, Shuo-tai Business Technology Co., Ltd, the operator of the first cross-Strait Call centre as well as Chunghwa Telecom's first investment company in mainland China, opened in Xiamen Software Park.


Shuo-tai Xiamen is a joint venture established by Chunghwa Telecom Group and Xiamen Port Holding Group. It's also the first cross-strait cooperation call centre operator. Chunghwa Telecom is Taiwan's largest telecommunications operator and Xiamen Port Holding Group is a leading enterprise in Fujian, and one of ten state-owned enterprise groups.


The powerful combination has brought about the first call service outsourcing platform in Haixi Economic Zone (the west side of the Taiwan Straits). Shuo-tai will primarily serve Taiwan-funded enterprises, mainland enterprises and government departments, providing three major products including service outsourcing, call center platform rental business and call center establishment.


Mr. Zhang Xiaodong, general manager of Chunghwa Telecom, said that Shuo-tai will aim to bring Taiwan's intelligent energy-saving services (IEN), automotive electronics (ITS), switching system (PBX) and other services into the mainland.
