Xiamen hotels, shopping malls to back Earth Hour on March 26th

Hotels and shopping malls in Xiamen will do their part to contribute to Earth Hour 2011 on 20:30- 21:30 of March 26th, reports Xiamen Evening News.
 
Le Meridien Xiamen, Seaview Resort Xiamen and Crowne Plaza Paragon Xiamen will turn off their non-essential lights during Earth hour and invite customers to join in Earth Hour in their candle-lit halls.
 
Sheraton Hotel Xiamen has already launched a search for an Earth Hour slogan (deadline March 20th), and it will award the top 10 contributors with prizes.
 
Xiamen Printemp will respond by turning off all the landscape lamps during Earth Hour and collect customers promises to protect the environment.
 
An unplugged candlelight concert will be held in the evening to promote a low-carbon lifestyle among Xiamen residents.
 
Earth Hour is a global event held on the last Saturday of March annually, asking households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.
