Xiamen awarded '2011 China's Most Romantic & Best Leisure City'

According to the "2011 Comprehensive Evaluation on China Leisure City Development" released on 16th October, Xiamen was awarded "Chinas Most Romantic Leisure City" and "Chinas Best Leisure City", reports Xiamen Daily.
 
The evaluation was arranged by CNTA (China National Tourism Administration) and China Tourism Academy, under the auspices of the China Tourism Association, travel.163.com, www.qunar.com and www.cntl.org.
 
The evaluation was based on a 7-year leisure index research, including statistical data issued by the related open publications in 2011 and initiative search data of www.qunar.com by 51.06 million users from January to October, 2011.
 
Moreover, Travel.163.com, along with www.cntl.org set up a online vote platform from 28th March to 8th October this year. The online evaluation is based on 7 indexes including ecological environment, distinctive culture, leisure and recreation, traffic trip, humanistic care, travel service, shopping and dining. A total of over 1,550,000 netizens took part in the vote. The number of valid votes was over 90%.
