Xiamen's fiscal revenue ranks No.1 in Fujian in Q1 of 2013

Xiamen took the lead in Fujian with RMB20.103 billion fiscal revenue in the first quarter of this year.

According to economic data released by the Xiamen Statistical Bureau, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Xiamen reached RMB53.026 billion from January to March this year, up 10.8% year on year.

The total industrial output of enterprises above a certain designated size in Xiamen surged 14.9% year on year to reach RMB108.721 billion in the first quarter of this year. The added value of the city’s industries stood at RMB26.625 billion, accounting for 50.2% of the city's GDP.

In addition, the central government's property purchasing curbing measures have spurred sales in the city's property market. A total of 15,334 apartments were sold in the city in the first quarter of this year, a sharp increase of 163% over the same period last year.
