Forget about quiet, unspoilt countryside or venturing out into the wild-unknown - this is camping Chinese style!

Over 15,000 people from around the world transform a hillside near Mount Wugongshan in China's Jiangxi province into a kaleidoscope of coloured tents for the 2013 International Camping Festival.

Jiangxi Province, located in the eastern part of the country, is considered by many to be home to China's most beautiful countryside due to its natural ecology, as well as its long history and tradition.

It is an area where each of the four seasons comes into full play and can be enjoyed by each and everyone: seeing the flowers coming into bloom in spring, swimming in summer, viewing the red leaves of autumn and enjoying the area's folk customs in winter.

The red autumnal maples of Shicheng, a county in Wuyuan, are especially praised by visitors from China and from countries all around the world. Shicheng county is dotted with the ancient maples, creating a colorful contrast to white walls and grey roofs of the folk houses.

The houses and the red maples each enhance the beauty of the other, attracting large crowds of photographers and visitors from all over China every year. Shicheng was once selected as "China's most popular place for appreciating the maples" and "a paradise for photographers" by many media agencies in China.

Travelers from all over the world who visit this scenic spot will have the opportunity to take part in the organized activities themed "Indulging in the beauty of Wuyuan, tasting autumn on foot" as the red autumnal maple season gets into full swing.
