6th Cross-Straits Cultural Industries Fair to be held in Xiamen Oct 25th-28th

The sixth annual Cross-Straits Cultural Industries Fair (CSCIF) will be held in Xiamen at the International Conference and Exhibition Center from 25th-28th October, reports fjsen.com.

In addition, the 6th Xiamen International Animation Festival, the 10th Cross-Strait Folk Art Festival, the 9th Cross-Strait Book Fair and the Xiamen (China) Sporting Goods Fair will also be held at the same time.

The event has now attracted more than 1000 cultural companies and institutions from Taiwan seeking cooperation opportunities in the Chinese mainland. The fair has become the biggest comprehensive platform for cultural events between the mainland and Taiwan.

This year’s fair will include two new features. Firstly, the fair will boast a special exhibition area for arts and crafts stretching 8,000 square meters, with the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute expected to occupy a 1,000-square-meter booth. Secondly, there will be a new exhibition area focusing on digital products, which has attracted leading enterprises such as China Mobile, China Telecom, Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile and Far Eastone, all of whom will participate for the first time in the event.

In addition, executives of venture capital institutions from both sides of the Straits will attend the fair.

The event is also set to include various competitions and awards ceremonies, and the organizing committee is planning 3 forums to boost the development of cultural industries.
