The highly-anticipated Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed railway, linking three special economic zones, officially opened to traffic on 28th December.

The 502.4 km-long dual-track rail line will link 2 special economic zones in China, Xiamen and Shenzhen, starting from Xiamen North Station (厦门北站), running through Qianchang (前场), Jiaomei (角美), Zhangzhou South(漳州南), Yangkui (洋奎), Zhangpu (漳浦), Yunxiao (云霄), Zhao’an (诏安), Raoping (饶平) Chaoshan (潮汕), Chaoyang (潮阳), Puning (普宁), Kuitan (葵潭), Lufeng (陆丰), Shanwei (汕尾), Houmen, Huidong (惠东), Huizhou South (惠州南), Pingshan (坪山) and ending at Shenzhen North Railway Station (深圳北站).

Here are the 6 railway stations in Fujian:

Xiamen North Railway Station:

Xiamen North Railway Station is a pleasant exception from the typical arrangement of rail services in Fujian's cities, in that it combines both "traditional" passenger trains and high-speed (D-series) ones at a single easy-to-access downtown location.

Since 2010, this has been the southern terminal of the Fuzhou–Xiamen Railway (Fuxia), with frequent D-series trains departing to Fuzhou (via Quanzhou and other coastal cities), some of them continuing north to Wenzhou, Ningbo, Hangzhou and Shanghai Hongqiao. On June 29, 2012, the new Longyan–Xiamen Railway (Longxia) opened as well, with frequent D-series trains connecting Xiamen with Longyan (with stops in Zhangzhou and Nanjing County).

Numerous conventional (K-series) trains connect Xiamen with major cities throughout China's interior. They have traditionally left the city via the Yingtan–Xiamen Railway, although some (those with destinations in southern China) may have been now switched to the faster Longxia line.

Jiaomei Railway Station:

Zhangzhou Railway Station:

Zhangzhou Railway Station is the main train station in the Zhangzhou metropolitan area. It is located in Hongtang Village (洪塘村) of Longhai City, about 10 km south of downtown Zhangzhou.

With a total investment of 505 million yuan, Zhangzhou Railway Station covers 67,581 square meters and can handle 2.5 million passengers a year. The height of the building reaches 45 meters. There are 2 main tracks, 13 arrival and departure tracks, 1 basic platform and 2 intermediate platforms in the station.

Zhangpu Railway Station:
