Xiamen launches micro-electronic bus stop boards

The rest of the bus stations are undergoing equipment installation now, and major bus stations such as the the Bingnan Coach Station, the Wucun Bus Station, the Yizhong Station, and the Cruise Transport Hub are expected to be equipped with micro-electronic bus stop boards before the May Day holiday
   
The first batch of micro-electronic bus stop boards have been put into service in key transportation hubs in Xiamen, at places such as the Xiamen Railway Station Transportation Hub and the Fanghu Transport Center Station, according to the Xiamen Public Transport Group.

The rest of the bus stations are undergoing equipment installation now, and major bus stations such as the the Bingnan Coach Station, the Wucun Bus Station, the Yizhong Station, and the Cruise Transport Hub are expected to be equipped with micro-electronic bus stop boards before the May Day holiday. All of the bus stops in the city are expected to be equipped with micro-electronic bus stop boards before the National Day Holiday in October.

Saving residents the trouble of downloading software, residents can check real-time bus information in the neighborhood by putting their phones near the NFC labels on the micro-electronic bus stop boards with an NFC functional mobile phone, or by scanning the two-dimensional (QR) codes.

To cope with the transportation needs of residents in the No.5 Lianhua Village Area, the No. 23 bus line and the L11 bus line will add a “Longhuali” stop along routes departing from the No.5 Lianhua Village. No. 653 will add a Youda stop, a Youda Life District stop, a Zhaochuo Village Stop, and a South Youda stop. The No. 762 bus lines will add a South Hongxi stop, a North Neiguan Stop, a Hecuo Village Stop, and the Xiafang stop will be discontinued.
