Reopening of Xiamen Zhongshan Park
The park reopened to the public after a half-year renovation project. Visitors can now enjoy free admission to the newly renovated Children’s Playground and Zoo.

Regular performance of water show at Bailuzhou Park
Starting from September 17th, 2017, the musical fountain at Bailuzhou Park will perform regular water show from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. aily.

Colorful water jets dance to music, creating a rousing visual and musical display for visitors.

Xiamen's first management regulation on domestic waste sorting
The new regulation was launched on September 10th. It states individuals and units shall place domestic waste in acceptable garbage bags and containers at designated times and places. Violators will face fines ranging from RMB 50 to 50,000.

Xiamen Airlines' new international flights
The airline announced the opening of international flights linking Fujian Province with Paris and Toronto in the coming years.

Xiamen Metro Line 1
The city's first Metro line finished its 20-day test run. It is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year.

Xiamen's largest library
Chengyi Library in Jimei New Town will be the largest library in the city in terms of collection volume of books and utilization area upon its completion.

It is expected to be opened in the first half of 2018.

National Day and Mid-Autumn Day holiday
The holiday will last for 8 days from October 1st to 8th this year, as the weeklong National Day holiday coincides with Mid-Autumn Day.
