More high-speed rail lines to shorten travel time from Xiamen

According to the latest plan for the Fujian railway network, Xiamen will become a departure point for more high-speed rail projects.

Travel time between Xiamen and other regions in China will be shortened.

Xiamen-Shenzhen travel time
Shortened to about 2 hours
High-speed rail projects: Zhangzhou-Shantou High-speed Rail, Longyan-Xiamen High-speed Rail, Meizhou-Shantou High-speed Rail, Guanzhou-Shantou High-speed Rail
 
Xiamen-Wenzhou travel time
Shortened by nearly 2 hours to 1 hour and 40 minutes
High-speed rail projects: Fuzhou-Xiamen High-speed Rail, Fuzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Rail, and Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Rail

Xiamen-Nanchang travel time
Shortened from 5 hours to about 3 hours
High-speed rail project: Nanchang-Xiamen High-speed Rail

Xiamen-Ganzhou travel time
Shortened by half
High-speed rail project: Ganzhou-Xiamen Passenger-dedicated Rail Line

Starting from November 26th, 2017, high-speed train services linking Xiamen with Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province, will be launched. The new service will shorten travel time by half to 11 hours.

The trains (G2046/7/6) will depart from Xiamen North Railway Station at 7:07 a.m., and arrive at Zhengzhou Dong Railway Station at 5:58 p.m
