Tong'an key projects in Xiamen's RMB 865 Bn development plan

According to the Xiamen government, the city will invest in 316 key projects as part of a development plan that involves investment totaling RMB 117.91 billion for 2018 alone. Total investment for all projects after completion will be RMB 865.44 billion.

A series of investments will be deployed in six districts in 2018. Planned projects in Tong'an District include the following:

JD.com E-commerce Industry Park
 


JD.com, one of the two largest B2C online retailers in China by transaction volume and revenue, will invest at least RMB 2 billion to build an e-commerce industry park in Tong'an District.
 
The project aims to build a new intelligent delivery center. The facility is scheduled to be put into use in 2019, with expected annual turnover of RMB 15 billion.
 
Construction on Coastal Tourism Line

The second phase of the Coastal Tourism Line stretches along the round-the-eastern-coast line. Construction on the project is expected to be basically complete by the end of 2018.
 
Expansion on Hongtangtou Primary School

The expansion project, which will be completed with RMB 630.678 million in investment, is scheduled to be finished in 2018.
 
Xiamen Lianhua Enhui Elderly Care Home
 

The elderly care home is expected to open prior to the 2018 Spring Festival, and will provide 300 beds. The home will be the first government-invested, private-run elderly care home in Tong’an District.
 
Zhongshan Hospital Xiamen University (Round-the-eastern-coast Branch)
 

Construction on the new branch of Zhongshan Hospital Xiamen University has begun in Tong'an District. Construction on the new hospital is expected to be complete and the hospital open in 2021.
 
Tong'an Interchange BRT Station
 
 
 
The new BRT station, together with Gaoqi Airport Interchange BRT Station, is expected to open in the second half of 2018.
 
The new stations will ease traffic pressure, and create the possibility of opening new BRT lines.
