An emergency evacuation drill Monday was carried out in Carrefour to train its employees and ensure the quick evacuation in case of emergency.

At 7:00 am, an alert was sounded in the Carrefour hypermarket in Mingfa Commercial Shopping Mall and announcement repeatedly broadcasted, “Your attentions please, to ensure your safety, please stop shopping immediately. Leave the shopping cart and basket, follow directions from the staff and quickly leave through the emergency exit. Thank you for your cooperation!”

The hypermarket staff put out the fire with fire extinguishers very quickly, and fire doors were pulled down. "Customers" put down the items and left the hypermarket from the nearest emergency exit under the guidance of staff.

Within five minutes, all "customers" and working staff were evacuated from the hypermarket, a "wounded" was carried out.

The drill was jointly carried out by Carrefour and the Jialian subdistrict office, in order to ensure that all staff in Carrefour know exactly the location of emergency exits and organize timely evacuation of customers in the event of an emergency.
