The graffiti wall in Jimei Universtity

A creative culture centre, featuring graffiti arts and other various kinds of creative arts will be built near the graffiti wall of Jimei University, according to Xu Yongliang, secretary of the Jimei District Party committee.

The Jirang Graffiti Cultural Festival, held in Jimei District on Sunday, brought together representatives of graffiti artists from various places throughout China.

During the festival, the China Jimei Graffiti Arts Union, which is dedicated to developing graffiti culture and enhancing exchanges among graffiti artists, was officially established.

The graffiti wall outside Jimei University was extended by dozens of metres during the festival.

Near the graffiti wall, there is an old factory building covering an area of 10,000 square meters. It will be turned into the creative culture centre to accommodate book stores, art hotels, cafés and advertising companies. It will also be used to hold concerts and art exhibitions.
