Thousands compete for Xiamen airlines flight attendants job openings

Xiamen Airlines has started interviews for would-be flight attendants in Xiamen on Saturday. Over 2,000 young ladies from the city and neighbouring areas have showed great enthusiasm for the recruitment.
 
“Every girl has a dream to become a flight attendant.” said an official with Xiamen Airlines, who has participated in several recruitments.
 
Yuyao, who came all the way from Jiangxi Province to Xiamen to compete for the Xiamen airlines flight attendants job, said she wanted to be a stewardess when she was a little girl.
 
But Yuyao’s mother didn't want her daughter to be a flight attendant. “It isn’t a stable job. You only can do it when you are young.” she said.
 
The applicants have to go through twelve selection processes including registration verification, image primary election, primary medical examination, spoken English exam, interview, English written test, culture test, physical fitness test, secondary medical examination, comprehensive retest, political examination and training.
 
It is reported that a total number of 300 young ladies will be recruited nationwide as flight attendants of Xiamen Airlines this year. A flight attendant of Xiamen airlines earns some 100,000 yuan a year.
