Photographer Michaelangelo Pinzon has sex with 11yo girl for art's sake

A freelance photographer pleaded guilty Wednesday to taking a picture of himself having sex with an underage girl - but claimed it was all for art's sake.

Michaelangelo Pinzon, 34, tried to sugar coat his crime by insisting he had merely "used a young woman to produce a photograph."

But Brooklyn Federal Judge Carol Amon pressed him to admit he had intercourse in Colombia with the unidentified victim, whom prosecutors contend was as young as 11.

The feds seized 74 images from Pinzon's laptop that depicted him having sex with underage girls. All the attacks occurred in Colombia, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrea Goldbarg.

Pinzon, who had already pleaded guilty to a federal charge of smuggling heroin from Bolivia, faces 15 to 30 years on a kiddie-porn rap.

The Jackson Heights resident once owned a photography studio on 84th St. and took pictures at community events for local newspapers.

Pinzon, 34, received a citation from then-City Councilman Hiram Monserrate at a Colombian Independence Day cermony at City Hall in 2006.
