Recently decided to try here. The food just wasn't that great though. I wouldn't say it was bad, but it was missing an authentic taste.

Prices are not expensive at all but tonight, I am for the 2nd time (last time was last year) totally disappointed about the dishes. The soup of the PHO had not enough taste, noodles (He fen) were too soft (overcooked). Noodles (Kwe Tiao) of the Pa Thai were too hard. No NUOC MAM sauce in the Pa Thai or with the spring rolls? I still hope to taste a real South East Asian food restaurant in Xiamen, even though I understand that in every country, restaurants need to adapt to local people taste. Hope it will be better next time... (next year)

I think the food is good but I have to say that they should categorize the food in which part of the South-East Asia.

They launched a Cocktail Bar, serving more than 50 kinds of cocktails and other drinks.

My friends and I have tried the cocktails after dinner. It's quite decent. The prices are fairly reasonable ranged from 18 kuai to 55 kuai.

There are also a lot of choices for non-alcoholic cocktails.

This is a great place if you want a quick bite of South East Asian food. I've been there several times and have never been disappointed. One of the better low key options in the Marco Polo Area.

Just tried it myself and I found it quite decent. It won't become my regular hangout place but it's a good choice for sure. I just hope the owner can keep up this level of service/prices.

When TOSEA just opened, I was very disappointed with their curry. One serving only had 2 small portions of chicken and the rest are carrots and potatoes. But then just a few months later they managed to improve it 90%! Chicken curry now is one of my top faves there. The top of my lists there are the BBQ chicken and grilled pork. I eat there at least once a week.

A wide selection of well thought through dishes at reasonable prices. Simple interior which wouldn't be ideal for a large group (10+ people). Recommend the Mango Shake (Mango bingsha).

it's an ok restaurant. I was very disappointed with their nasi goreng. the dish was supposed to be Indonesia's favorite, but here it was just fried rice with 4-6 thin strips of beef. Other dishes are ok, like the pork chop or chicken barbecue(not sure of the name). prices are not so expensive too.

Big portion, with reasonable price. Love the roll.

Environment's great, you can see people from different countries hanging out there, and the waitors got a little problem communicating to them, but at least they can understand what their customers want

Looking for an affordable, delicious, spacious and friendly restaurant near Marco Polo? Well this one's for you. The only problem that I had when I first ate there was that one of the employees there gave me and a friend some meals that we didn't even order.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Its affordable and delicious at the same time, with cosy and friendly environment. The menu has a wide variety of selections, very authentic compare to other South East Asian restaurants around. My husband is half Thai and this is also his favorite restaurant in Xiamen. To him it is a taste of home.

My favorite dishes are the Curries, the Vietnamese noodles and the Thai Tom Yum Soups, perfect for the winter warm up! The Thai style milk tea goes well with the Curries.

And from what I have seen, Tosea is one of the most hygienic restaurants in Xiamen. Never have to worry about anything after a visit…

I have been to TOSEA many times with different foreign friends. We were never dissapointed by their food.

Almost each time I took chicken curry and I enjoyed it. I went there with my husband yesterday and tried the vegetarian curry. It's very fresh and tasty. We shared a big size of portion and it's perfect for 2 of us. I really don't understand which dish is too small there.

I haven't been to other countries except Thailand. I ate curry chickent everyday when I was on vacation in Thailand. What I could see the biggest difference is that you can choose very spicy curry in Thailand. I have nothing to complain about the food quality at Tosea so far.

Ziggy828 thank you for your review.
We appreciate all reviews and try our best to address any concerns that our customers have.
I’m sorry the curry was not to your liking- it is however one of our best sellers.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion but the use of “super sucks” could have been more eloquently phrased.
What was it about the curry that you did not enjoy? Was it not spicy enough, was there not enough vegetables, was it too bland? Just remember that all restaurants work hard at providing a service otherwise we will not survive and we appreciate criticisms that are constructive in nature.
Never the less, we do appreciate you giving TOSEA a try and we continue in our quest to provide authentic South East Asian food at very affordable prices.

Not bad, but I still think the portion size is too small. Pattaya is better.

Best place in Xiamen for a wide variety of South East Asian food.

Either going Vietnamese, Thai or even Indonesian nasi goreng, this place is a real taste of South East Asian.
As for prices, there are comparable to any of the hawker in South East Asia.

Great food. I especially like the desert. They have ice creams from thailand with flavours that no where else has.
Also, I love the Thai milk tea.

Like the food there. The portion, for a Chinese girl, is enough, but some dishes are too spicy for me...I will try some other not that spicy next time.

This place was pretty good. The pastrami sandwich was on point, and the coffee was good as well. Decent prices, and a comfy atmosphere make this spot worth checking out.
