We have one air-conditioned master bedroom with king-size bed in a big, brand new apartment with seaview in the newest, and very secure, gated high-end residential development in Haicang located only a stone's throw away from the big Alohai Shopping Mall and the soon-to-be-opened DoubleTree Hilton Hotel Haicang.

This spacious apartment is newly decorated and never been occupied. Available for rent starting 01 May 2017. The master bedroom comes with a smaller adjacent spare room that can be used as an office or study room. Monthly rental is only RMB 2,000 plus RMB 300 to share costs of high-speed Internet + WiFi, utilities and management fees.

Automatic washer and dryer available plus a nicely equipped shared kitchen and fridge. Dryer is definitely a plus for the usually rainy, cloudy and humid Xiamen weather. Very suitable for locals and/or expats working or studying in the Haicang area. Also available as alternatives are two smaller bedrooms with a shared bathroom.

Reply for Franki. Thanks for your comments. Renters have choices, so do landlords. Males should understand female mentality and accept their concerns. People seems to have the concept that Haicang is a "cheap" place to rent apartments because of the perceived distance from Xiamen island proper. Perhaps it is true for some parts of the district. But if you have an apartment that is worth about RMB 6 million in actual recent transaction prices, how much do you think should be a reasonable rental rate in order to obtain a reasonable "rental rate of return" for the investment? Think about it like an owner of the apartment and not a renter. If the RMB 6 million apartment is rented out for RMB 600,000 per year, the annual rate of rental return will be 10%. If it is rented out at RMB 60,000 per year, the annual rental rate of return will be 1%. REAL returns at present are much less than 1%. What would you do if you were an apartment owner in Xiamen? As for me, I will not buy an apartment in Xiamen. I will just rent because renting is much, much cheaper than buying at this point in time. The speculative bubble will burst sooner than later.

Well its your problem if you want to pay 6 mill for an apartment. Should have done the math before you took out your fancy credit card. Renters don`t think like you do and most certainly do no not care about what you had to pay for such a tiny living space. Spend your money wisely :)

Thank you for your concern. It is not my apartment. I am just renting it and not buying real properties in Xiamen. Between my wife and myself we have plenty of space to play hide and seek. We have decided we no longer want to share it with anyone. It is just not worth the hassle.
