HK-bound flight diverts to Xiamen after smoke in cabin

    A Dragonair flight had to be diverted after smoke was reported in the cabin. Flight KA663, from Fuzhou to Hong Kong, had to land at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport Monday night after the incident. The aircraft departed around 8:40 p.m. But by 9:10 p.m., after reaching cruising altitude, pilots altered course as a precaution, descending rapidly and making a U-turn for Xiamen, according to flight tracking website Flightradar24.
