Xiamen is entering a new ear of bullet train travel following the launch of several high-speed railways, reports Xiamen Evening News. Following Fuzhou-Xiamen High-speed Railway open to traffic on 26th April, 2010, Longyan-Xiamen Railway, which is composed of Longyan- Zhangzhou South section and Zhangzhou South-Xiamen section, is expected to be open to traffic on 30th June, 2012. Xiamen Railway Station, located in Siming District on Xiamen Island, is a transportation hub in Eastern China. Real-name policy for bullet trains to take effect in Xiamen from June 1

   According to the Nanchang Railway Bureau (NRB), from June 1, an ID-based ticket booking system will be applied in bullet trains within NRB’s jurisdiction. All adult passengers should use their real name to board bullet trains, not including children who buy a zero fare or half-price ticket.    The ID-based tickets for bullet trains of NRB are going to start selling May 22nd.
