Melamine candy made by Zhangzhou-based Nanfang Food 'still on market'

MELAMINE-TAINTED milk products are still plaguing northeastern China over a year after they killed at least six infants and sickened 300,000 others in the country's massive food safety scandal in 2008. About 300 to 400 boxes of creamy candy made from expired melamine-laced milk powder left over from the scandal were still on the market in Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces, according to a manager with the Fujian Nanfang Food Company surnamed Ke.
