Xiamen to invest $193m to build a new A-class hospital

An investment of 1.2 billion yuan ($193 million) will be injected to establish a new A-class hospital in Xiamen, Fujian Province, according to a statement announced by Xiamen Municipal People's Congress on Dec 25. The project, conducted jointly by Xiamen Municipal Government and Shanghai Fudan University, one of the most prestigious universities in China, is planning to offer 800 beds in the inpatient department. Smoking ban to be implemented in Xiamen hospitals
