Taking a plane could be rather troublesome when you forget to take your ID card. That often means another 8 minutes' wait for your temporary boarding pass. This is ended now. Xiamen Airport Police recently began using a temporary boarding pass production software, which can shorten the once complicated accreditation process to 20 seconds.

This software was developed by Huang Yueming, a policeman of the traffic police brigade of Airport police branch.

Once input your ID number, the software will check your basic information and automatically generate your temporary boarding pass in 20 seconds.

Temporary boarding passes are frequently applied by passengers who lose or forget to bring their ID cards, or students without ID cards. They have to apply for temporary ID cards to board the plane.

In the past, temporary ID card was filled out by hand and used Polaroid camera to take instant photo. This could cost seven or eight minutes, says Huang.
