Xiamen is well on its way to becoming an international cruise home port with the launch of more and more international cruise routes.
Another international cruise ship, Crystal Symphony, is scheduled to launch a cruise route linking Hong Kong, Xiamen, Shanghai, Dalian and Tianjin from March to April in 2013.

Owned and operated by US-headquartered Crystal Cruise Lines, the Crystal Symphony is 781 feet in length and 99.02 feet in breadth, and can handle up to 922 guests in 461 cabins, boasting a gross tonnage of 51,044 GT. The Crystal Symphony is the sister ship of Crystal Serenity and Crystal Harmony.

Found in 1988, Crystal Cruise Lines, most commonly known as Crystal Cruises, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the large Japanese shipping company Nippon Yusen Kaisha.

Meanwhile, Xiamen plans to launch additional cruise ship routes including Xiamen to Japan and Xiamen to Korea in March next year as well.

According to the Xiamen International Cruise Terminal, 20 cruise liners are expected to berth in Xiamen by the end of the year, carrying more than 30,000 passengers.
