There are currently 131 double-decker coach buses and 129 coach bus routes that exceed 800km in Xiamen.

An expert team will initiate a safety hazard assessment on all the 129 coach routes, and those which fail the assessment will also be cancelled.
The Fujian government has required the setup of a headquarter company to deploy the long-distance coach routes to improve management and monitoring of the routes.

Long-distance coach drivers are not allowed to drive between 2:00am and 5:00am, according to the related traffic laws. During a crackdown on dangerous driving, 22 long-distance coaches were found violating the 2:00-5:00am driving ban. One of the coach operators was banned from operation for 20 days and all the coach drivers were suspended from driving for two days.

At least 3 inspection tours will be made weekly on the operating companies of the passenger coaches that have violation records and known safety hazards.
