Wyndham Grand Xiamen hosted a press conference on March 28th to celebrate the registration of the 50 millionth Wyndham Rewards member at Wyndham Grand Xiamen. Noah Brodsky, senior vice president of Wyndham Rewards, and Leo Liu (刘晨军), president of greater China, attended the conference to talk about the hotel's exciting achievement.
Noah Brodsky serves as senior vice president of worldwide loyalty and customer engagement. In that role, he is responsible for the growth and evolution of Wyndham Rewards, the Wyndham Hotel Group's guest loyalty program. He also oversees the program’s marketing partnerships, multi-brand advertising relationships, social media marketing initiatives, customer care, customer acquisition and retention efforts, and the program's co-branded credit card. His prior experience in the hospitality industry includes roles at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Four Seasons Resorts, and Walt Disney World.
When asked about what makes Wyndham Rewards special, Mr. Brodsky said, “The Wyndham Rewards Program is a global program, it is simple to understand, and it offers generous rewards. Points are easy to earn and convenient to redeem. The program is supported by 8,000 Wyndham Rewards hotels and 25,000 homes and condos around the world. Membership in the program is very valuable, especially for Chinese travelers, who often travel with their families -- for example with multiple generations together. For these clients, sometimes a hotel is the right setting, but sometimes a house is more appropriate. I think our Wyndham Rewards Program is quite unique: our members can redeem their points for a free stay with as few as 15,000 points at any Wyndham Rewards hotel in the world. And wherever they go, be it Beijing, Shanghai, or New York, and whichever Wyndham Rewards hotel brand they choose -- Super 8 or Wyndham Grand -- it’s always 15,000 points.” He added that points can be redeemed for more than just rooms: gift cards are also available, including a popular Jingdong shopping card.
Mr. Brodsky also mentioned that the Wyndham Rewards Program has set up a variety of attractive perks for its members, especially for diamond members. For example, diamond members can get free tickets and food and tour discounts in cities where they stay at a Wyndham Rewards hotel. Mr. Brodsky added that the program will be working to add more locations and options in the South Asia and Australia regions to meet the diverse needs of its members.
At the end of the conference, both Mr. Liu and Mr. Brodsky expressed their thanks to their Chinese supporters, and expressed their hope for the future successful development of Wyndham hotels and the Wyndham Rewards Program in China. Mr. Liu finally delivered one more piece of good news: Wyndham Hotel Group plans to expand its operating range in China, including one or two more Wyndham-brand hotels with new business concepts in Xiamen in the near future.
