New catering & banquet director and executive chef of Marco Polo Xiamen

On November 17th, 2017, in Xiamen, Wharf Hotels named Mr. Gary Leong (梁翰辉) the new catering and banquet director of Marco Polo Xiamen, and chef Attila Dominik Kormoczi the hotel’s new executive chef.

Throughout his 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Gary Leong has worked in  Shangri-La Hotels in Suzhou, Shenzhen, and Singapore. Before he took office as the catering and banquet director of Marco Polo Xiamen, he served as catering deputy director of Banyan Tree, Macau. Hailing from Malaysia, Mr. Gary Leong’s international experience has acquainted him with the quintessence of eastern and western food culture and the service management standards of international starred hotels. His arrival will bring new energy into the Marco Polo Xiamen management team.

 

 

Chef Attila Dominik Kormoczi, the new executive chef of Marco Polo Xiamen


Chef Attila Dominik Kormoczi, who hails from beautiful Germany, has 20 years of culinary and kitchen management experience. He has worked in numerous international starred hotels around the world as executive chef and has accumulated a wealth of management experience. He is proficient in western cuisine, including French cuisine, German cuisine, Hungarian cuisine, Mediterranean cuisine, and more. In recent years, chef Attila has also focused on learning Asian cuisine including Thai, Indian, Japanese, and Chinese. His advantage is that he is very good at combining international cuisines with local specialties to create a brand-new gastronomic experience, bringing completely new surprises to food lovers. Before he served at Marco Polo Xiamen, chef Attila worked as executive chef at Hilton Bali Resort.
