Xiamen Airlines received top safety award from IATA

Last week, Xiamen Airlines received a top safety award in recognition of its outstanding achievement in the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), at the Kuala Lumpur 65th International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual Meeting & World Air Transport Summit.

7 airline companies in the world received the honor, and Xiamen Airlines is the only airline company in north Asia that received the honor.


The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) is the benchmark for global safety management in airlines.


As the first airline company in China to be recognized by the IOSA, Xiamen Airlines became the 17th IOSA registered airline company in the world with "zero failure" in 2004.


Xiamen Airlines attaches great importance in building safety culture. This year, Xiamen Airlines set up flight safety division and training division in its flight department. And in this July, a simulator project, invested with about RMB 250 million, will be put into use, which will strengthen its flight training and technical support.
