National key Peking Opera troupes to give performance in Xiamen

The opening ceremony was held in Fuzhou on 20th November 2009

Hosted by the Fujian Provincial Government, an excellent drama performing festival by national key Peking Opera troupes & 60th anniversary activity of the Fujian Peking Opera Troupe is being held in Fujian Province.

On the morning of 20th November 2009 the opening ceremony was held in Fuzhou.

As the first large-scale Peking Opera performing festival in Fujian, 8 Peking Opera troupes, including Tianjin Young Peking Opera Troupe, Tianjin Peking Opera Troupe, Shanghai Peking Opera Troupe, China National Peking Opera Company, and Jilin Peking Opera Troupe, are going to perform some famous dramas around Fujian Province. They will come and give performances in Xiamen starting from 25th November.

On the night of 25th November and 7th December, the Tianjin Young Peking Opera Troupe and Tianjin Peking Opera Troupe will bring Zhezi Drama to the Xiamen audience. The Shanghai Peking Opera Troup will perform the drama “Four Scholars” on 11th December. And on 15th and 18th December, the China National Peking Opera Company and Jilin Peking Opera Troup will perform Zhezi Drama.
