Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport
Opened in 1983, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is one of the ten busiest airports in China.

It has a 4E standard flight area, a 3,400-meter (about 3,718 yards) runway, a 3,300-meter (about 3,609 yards) taxiway, a 149 thousand-square-meter (178,208 square yards) terminal building, and a 250,000 square-meter (about 299,007 square yards) parking lot. The passenger volume is approximately 10 million people per year. Xiamen airport offers 75 air routes to 58 domestic cities and 17 foreign cities including regions in Japan, the Americas and Southeastern Asian countries.

1. Shuttle buses
Tickets for shuttle buses are sold at the hotel reception counters of Domestic Arrival. Schedule of shuttle buses for Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport:
2. BRT buses
Take BRT Line 1 or 2 and get off at Xianhou Stop (县后站). Then take BRT interchange bus No. L19 and get off at Domestic Terminal Stop (国内候机楼站).
3. Public buses
Passengers can take public buses No. 27, 37, 81, 84, 91, 304, 312, 431, 755, 947, 650 and get off at Taigu Sushe Stop (太古宿舍站). They can also take bus No. 27, 37, 41, 81 and 312 and get off at the Terminal Building Stop (候机大楼站). The cost for the bus is CNY 1 and the last buses of these lines are around 22:15 to 22:30. Bus No. 37 operates until 00:10.
4. Taxi
Taxis are located outside the Arrival Terminal. The flat rate in Xiamen is about RMB 8 for the first 3 kilometers (about 1.9 miles), and then a charge of about RMB 2 for each additional kilometer, as well as a RMB 3 fuel surcharge fee.

Passengers planning to go to other places such as Quanzhou, Shishi and Zhangzhou can take their local taxis to reach those places directly. The taxis are at the West Park, 120 m west of the Domestic Arrival Hall.
