List of international friendship cities of Xiamen

Xiamen, historically known as Amoy, is a major city on the southeast coast of China. It covers a total area of 1,516 square kilometres.

Since 1983, Xiamen has established friendship with 18 international cities, and it also currently has 31 domestic sister cities.

The international friendship cities of Xiamen are mainly included in three categories namely, port cities, ecological cities and tourist cities which feature abundant tourism resources, excellent ecological environment and geographical advantages.

In 2014, the city called for a "Friendship City Circle" and a "Friendship City Cloud" to promote exchange and win-win cooperation among friendship cities during the 2014 China (Xiamen) International Forum for Friendship Cities held in September 2014.
