The newly-built lookout station near picturesque Yanwu Bridge opened to the public for free on July 15th. The lookout provides a stunning view of the sea, Gulangyu Island, and the scenery near Xiamen University.
Here is a guide for your reference if you plan to visit the lookout.
he big lookout station is connected to three newly-built walking paths as follows:
No. 1 Entrance:
Near Xiamen Shimao Cross-strait Plaza (or the Sibling Towers)/世贸海峡大厦
No. 2 Entrance:
Near intersection of Yanwu Road and Yanwu Bridge/演武路西侧
No. 3 Entrance:
Near Haiyang New Village/海洋新村
6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily (summer)
6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily (winter)
>> The No. 2 entrance will be closed if the number of visitors to the lookout station exceeds 2,000, and the No. 1 and 2 entrances will be closed if the number exceeds 3,000. All three entrances will be closed if the number of visitors exceeds 4,500. The entrances will be reopened when the number decreases to 2,000.
>> Dogs, bicycles, group dancing, fishing, and selling items are prohibited at the lookout station.
