2017 China's public holidays, official schedules released

On December 1st, China’s General Office of the State Council announced the official national holiday schedule for 2017.

It's noteworthy that there are a total of 27 official leave days and the National Day will highlight an 8-day holiday, one day more than the previous ones.
 
New Year
Dec. 31st, 2016 to Jan. 2nd, 2017
(3 days in total)
 

Advised holiday extension (9 days):
Ask for 4-day leave from January 3rd to 6th, the holiday can be extended to 9 days, together with the weekend (January 7th and 8th)
 
Spring Festival
Jan. 27th to Feb. 2nd
(7 days in total)
 
Jan. 22nd (Sunday) and Feb. 4th (Saturday) are official working days.
 
Tomb Sweeping Day
April 2nd to 4th
(3 days in total)
 
April 1st is an official working day.
 
Advised holiday extension (8 days):
Ask for 3-day leave from April 5th to 7th, the holiday can be extended to 8 days, together with the weekend (April 8th and 9th)
 
Labor Day
April 29th (Saturday) – May 1st
(3 days in total)
 
April 29th and 30th are on weekend.

Advised holiday extension (9 days):
Ask for 4-day leave from May 2nd to 5th, the holiday can be extended to 9 days, together with the weekend (May 6th and 7th)
 
Dragon Boat Festival
May 28th to 30th
(3 days in total)
 
May 27th (Saturday) is an official working day.
 
Advised holiday extension (8 days):
Ask for 3-day leave from May 31st to June 2nd, the holiday can be extended to 8 days, together with the weekend (June 3rd and 4th)
 
Mid-Autumn Festival & National Day
October 1st to 8th
(8 days in total)
 
September 30th (Saturday) is an official working day. The Mid-Autumn Day falls on October 4th in 2017.
